what others are wondering
Q: What is one easy thing I can incorporate to try and reduce my cramps around my period without spending money on additional supplements?
A: Hydrate. Make sure you’re drinking enough water especially the week leading up to your period.
Q: How do I know what tampon size to use?
A: Use the lowest absorbency possible for your flow. You want the tampon to be saturated when removed. If you are just starting your period and aren’t sure, you can try a pad first to gauge how heavy your flow is.
Q: I keep hearing about “phases” but I thought the menstrual cycle was just my period. What are phases?
A: Your period is just one event during your menstrual cycle, which has four phases, or two phases and two events. Follicular and Luteal phase, menstruation and ovulation are the events.
